Boro shirt Auction

IF it is genuine I’m surprised the club haven’t bought it.
It was on display at the Riverside for many years on loan. The owner realised he had a very valuable asset and put it in an auction.
Bought by a private collector. I wonder if we will ever see it again.

Wow! I didn’t think it was the actual shirt that was at the Riverside!
 
Maybe it’s fake and the club know it so didn’t get involved in the auction…?

Just a thought, not saying it is fake, just can’t understand why the club wouldn’t buy it at that price if it’s genuine.

137 year old football shirt.. in impeccable condition.

56 year old town crest (at the time) quite a fancy embellishment. silver thread and all.

no badge before and an 81 year wait for a much simplified badge.
 
Sad the club didn't purchase it for permanent display at the Riverside.

I read that it's the oldest known British league football shirt in existence?
