Good manLast day today. Just bought one in ticket office
Well if we're not doing very well you can look forward to crowds like Blackburn get midweekEh? No, I want a full ground regardless of how we're doing and they can raffle off tickets or give them to NHS staff or whatever, I'm not a***d. I've missed the atmosphere we had on Boxing Day and would like it more thank you v much
Why? Surely our crowds would be better than now as we'd have more season ticket holders?Well if we're not doing very well you can look forward to crowds like Blackburn get midweek
Gibson did this when he had imagination and was looking to fill the ground. It worked. No they should not. Buying a ST is a commitment. Why should you just be able to rock up and get one for the last 5 games if it looks like we are going to get in the play offs.
You're massively wide of the mark with this....
If you continue providing offers for the glory hunters all it does in the long run is devalue the ST. As such ST holders slowly drift away and they never come back. It's been proven time and time again and that's why we don't do it.Why? Surely our crowds would be better than now as we'd have more season ticket holders?
He provided a few ticket offers several years ago and quickly realised it was short termism..... hasn't done it againGibson did this when he had imagination and was looking to fill the ground. It worked.
Ok fair enough with the offers. But surely any kind of multi game ticket, not at a discounted price but getting some kind of commitment, however small, is a good thing? And if those people can get a discount at the start of next season I'm ok with that, you aren't and that's fine. I only want bums on seats and don't really mind if they're once a season or not, we're all Boro aren't we? Let's not look down our noses at anyone who wants to come and watch our team.If you continue providing offers for the glory hunters all it does in the long run is devalue the ST. All these 'ticket offer' posts only surface when things are going well. The jonny come lately supporters seem to expect they are entitled so buy the product at a discounted price when they have show no committment any other time...sorry doesn't work like that. Why should the club discount today ? There will be a big crowd anyway and those that have committed upfront either in Aug or Xmas will benefit with a reduced price. That's how it should be anything else is folly....
Thanks
Fair enough but they will come anyway and pay walk up prices if the team is doing well as will be evidenced by today's attendance. You should only get a discount by providing something in return i.e a commitment. As a successful businessman myself I understand this concept implicitlyOk fair enough with the offers.
