Boro fan recorded making racist gesture at Leicester

You haven’t half spouted some complete drivel on this thread.
I honestly still can’t decide if you are on some attention seeking wind up, or if you are being serious.
It reminds me of the Zouma drop-volleying a cat thread, when you dismissed people’s anger as ‘faux outrage’ simply because you didn’t think it was that big a deal. Similar ‘what a weird hill to die on’ vibes in this thread.
No.. I said it should have been investigated and the appropriate action should be taken.

Folks were calling for the guy to be hung or sent to prison for life.. without investigation.

The conclusion to that particular event played out exactly how I said it should have.

I believe on that thread there was a call for someone to come round to my house and cause harm to my dog.. a lovely moment from an apparent animal lover.

You and a few others won a place on my short but distinguished list of folks who I chose not to interact with.. sometimes my name will crop up and I’ll say my piece.

For clarity once again.. I am being serious.

I was serious when I said that racist attitudes and gestures were becoming more prevalent and I was serious when I said that it was a complete blind spot not only for our club but for our fan representatives.. I am also very serious in saying the lack of perspective and critical thinking that has been shown on this board and on this thread most recently is not helping any anti racist cause.. it is creating more division, more ignorance and putting more fuel on a fire that should have burnt out long ago.

The uncomfortable truth is that the very building blocks of racism are live and active on this forum.. the ignorance, the blinkered views, the pack mentality, the division and indeed condemnation of innocent parties.

I do wish to leave this thread as nothing can be gained from me saying the same thing over and over again. There are some good people on this thread and there are some well meaning individuals who are slightly misguided.. to put it in the politest possible way.

Yeah you definitely phrased it politely in an earlier post, calling them / us resident bellwhiffs. What a tool you truly are!

I can’t wait

I was in my local pub, with my partner, on an early one Friday a few weeks ago.
There was a bloke and his wife and he was on about the ‘Foo king immigrants’.
Apparently - they start in Italy and go raping and thieving before coming over here and doing the same.

I don’t stand for this any more.
I walked over to where he was sat and gently said - I can’t stop you from being racist but please keep your voice down. This is a nice pub and no one else wants to hear it.

As I walked away his wife shouted - Hey we aren’t racists.
I walked back and said - that’s fine then so you won’t mind stop using racist language.
I took my seat and got back to my beer and, they stopped talking.

As it came fir them to leave it was obvious it was going to kick off.
We were sat by the front door.
First she started with the ‘how dare you’ speech.
I kept calm and just kept repeating something like ‘just take your bile home and leave us all in here to have a nice evening’
He kind of pushed her out of the door and said ‘it’s now just me and you’. Proudly going on to say how many pubs he’d been barred out of. He wanted me to ‘Foo king die’ and finished with ‘I’ll be waiting fir you outside’.
As he left, I smiled and blew him a kiss.
I got the great response that ‘ahhhh your a fooking puff as well are you’.

I got lots of thanks from those in the pub. One guy with a huge dog went out to check he wasn’t around. And, of course the fella has been banned.

It was just a shame one 65 year old gadge was alone with his partner for about 3-4 mins getting abused by a racist whilst others watched on.
I can’t comprehend what it must be for non white people.
Well done finny. I presume he was nowhere to be seen when you left?

When he said "ahhhh your a fooking puff as well are you", I would have been tempted to reply "no, but my boyfriend is". I think his tiny brain would have exploded.

This in Lincoln Finny?

It's a sad state of affairs that you have had to be "Hardened" by it Don...sorry to hear that. You would have thought that racist events would be a rare occurrence these days but sadly not. People saying that it's "creeping back in"...it's never been away for me...sad times.
It is mate. But reality I am, still hurts now and again that people say and do certain things.
But I'm getting on and I had to deal with a lot when I was younger, I didn't really get why I was black when my mum was white, dad wasn't in the picture. Got alot of abuse in the 70s as you can imagine.
So yes I've grew up through bad times, not the worst people have had to deal with but was bad.
Still should not be having these discussions in 2024 .
