I can only think Gibbo is biding his time to get the new manager.

No way will we be going into 2025/26 season with Carrick in charge unless he's had a remarkable upturn in results/performances from now and the end of the season.

Carrick’s entire tenure here is all runs, winning and losing. We’ve never plodded along at a steady pace under him.

I think it's admirable to be honest, even I was at the point where I was happy for him to go but in this day and age giving someone so much trust and backing, I can only respect it.

come on now, we are in a bad place at the moment but to say we have always been whilst he`s been manager is a tad unfair

Agreed. The players need to repay the loyalty he has constantly shown them by shouldering the blame when things go wrong.

With regards to the backroom team, I do wonder if Woodgate is only here because at the time he was appointed we were still paying him off from his previous dismissal so was cheaper to bring him back on board than pay for someone else too. If that is the case then that puts Carrick in a really tricky position from the off.

I do think he has been given more time because of his willingness to go along with the bigger picture and plan. Other potential Head Coaches may not be so keen to do that.
