You can sort of see the news cycle being prepared in advance these days. It might be just me being cynical but you just get that feeling. Boris Johnson will probably resign under pressure the day they announce another lockdown or on Christmas Eve/Day. The Conservatives and its media team have/have tried to manipulate the media coverage to the point where nothing feels real any more. They bury one problem with the next one until that blows up and they have to bury it with something else. Like when the PM's wife had a baby last week. Just like that. The day after another scandal involving the PM, the sort of scandal that would've brought down every other PM in history.
I imagine he will be gone by next weekend. He'll probably announce he has COVID to try and generate some sympathetic headlines. Maybe his wife will have another baby? Who knows. Whenever he goes, you know it'll be announced at a time when people are most likely to be distracted by something else. Christmas. The Premier League pausing the football season. That's how these Tory f*ckers roll.

I would think they need to get beyond the current Covid. There is no advantage for them to get rid of Johnson right now - That's good news for Labour.

I think the tories will want to at least see how bad omicron is going to be before getting rid. If it looks like it's going to blow over, get a new leader now and they can hail the glorious chief. However if enough mp's call for a vote of no confidence the 1922 committee have to act and trigger the vote. I can't recall the number but 54 sounds about right.

I have lost count of the number of times somebody has posted after yet another horrendous incident involving the fat tramp that he was "toast" of "finished" and yet here we are - he is still here and brazening it out.
What makes you think this lot of charlatans are principled enough to get rid? Even Thatcher didn't last because the Tory MPs of that day were principled enough to understand she was past her sell by date. There are no principled grandees left in the Tory Party. They have been trolling, gaslighting and conning the British public for two years now and they aren't going to stop now as too many gullible and selfish people gave them a majority of 80 seats. Personally I think this won't finish him. I truly hope it does but I have very low expectation.

My memory might not be spot on, but it took the Chartists about 50 years to get universal male suffrage, another 50 years for female suffrage and now one hundred years after that, they are proposing to introduce legislation to effectively take the vote away from the poorest and most marginalised in society. They are , always have been and always will be corrupt, callous b******s. This by election result is a start, but it has to be built on. TORIES OUT.
