Boom time for British tourist trade?

Neighbours struggling to find camp sites, they're full, friends in south coast tourist spots complaining about being swamped by tourists.

People we know have booked to go to Bournemouth rather than fly to the continent.

It was reported the same day that Johnson announced that places would be reopening on July 4th a holiday was booked in this country every 11 seconds for the rest of that day.

It's actually really good news for the country as a whole, I can see it been a busy one next year and 2022 also. Lots to see and do on this country.

I think this is throughout Europe. The site we are on in the south west of France was quiet last week, but every camping pitch is now taken. There are groups of young French and you don’t normally see that here - Hardly any Brits though, but I like that.

There are also a lot of Spanish and Portuguese families on the site, which really makes a mockery of not having to isolate on our return.

Unfortunately it’s probably a bit of a double edged sword judging by the state half the skanky gets leave these places In!

I am not sure it is boom time, here in North Devon campsites are open but with a reduced number of pitches. There is a hope to achieve break even, but a lot of the season has been lost. Restaurants and pubs are open, but with a reduced number of tables, resulting in long queues in busy times, some people are just going to the supermarket instead.
If the season could be extended further into September/ October then there may be something of a boom to offset the difficulties.
