Dear Boro fans

I am sorry Im not coming. My agent did shout at Bausor “show me the money!” Its not my fault he’d not seen the script of Jerry Maguire.

Still. £75k a week for sitting on my ass for the next three months. Not a bad gaff “

I guess a deal on his wages could not be agreed. I would have thought Boro would be willing to pay around £15k/week leaving Everton with £55k/week still to pay and that was not acceptable to Everton. His agent may have wanted some cash and the 2 clubs may have disagreed who should pay the agent if thet was the case. What ever Everton are going to pay his wages likely for another 15 weeks at least @ £70k/week and get virtually nothing back - thats over £1m and would have saved Macclesfield twice over.

Everton thought our proposed wage contribution wasn't enough - so they rejected it in favour of keeping him and paying 100% of his wages. Pretty smart, right?

Why would he care, he has a deal with Everton, he agreed to sign, Everton wanted us to pay more clearly.

The player will still be paid 70k a week from Everton regardless how much of that 70k we pay everton does not affect Bolasie getting his wage as per his everton contract. Or am I missing something? Not sure where this paycut comes in?

Ref pay cut - Neither do I - Everton must have wanted 50% of his wage covering and maybe MFC offered 25% and both clubs asked the player to take 25% cut.

Any way Everton are now covering 100% for a player who can't play for them in the League.

Did he offer to take a paycut? Bin agent fees etc?

We have had all day (well technically since 1st July) to secure a deal. I doubt it was all down to Boro being incompitant. I am sure Bolasie and his many 'assistants' all had a hand in the deal.

I'm sorry but the guy doesn't have a squad number at Everton and has 9 months left on his contract. I'm sure if he was desperate to come he could have. I'm just stunned it's been going on all day. Then to apparently do a deal but too late..... I ain't buying it😕

He could have walked in first thing and gone 'make this happen at all costs'

How many players like him and Danny Rose (and many many more) will be sat on 50-200k a week until at least Jan not wanted by prem clubs? They won't go on loan due to not wanting a paycut.

I seriously think many players ain't fussed about playing.
I agree, too easy to blame the club. Obviously there's only so much they can offer and one would have to think that it wasn't enough this time

He could have offered to accept a new contract. Not saying he should have done, but he could have done.

The truth is that very few people will know and it should remain that way.
The only thing that is material is that he is not a Boro player.
We may have missed a boost, we may have dodged a bullet; but on to the match now.
