Bola's charge

Forgot about this. I see he's requested a personal hearing and admitted the offense. I wonder what will happen.

It's interesting. Clark Harris got a 4 match ban yet I think he was 18? He disputed it for a couple of days then retracted it. I guess his legal team thought they wouldn't win an appeal.

Bola was 14. I'm not even sure what he said (does anyone know?). So do they take into account the fact he was 14? Then again do nothing and what does that open up?

I have no idea. Yet I'd say some kind of middle ground and 1-2 match ban and some pointless course (he's apologised and knows he's done wrong... So pointless) . I doubt they will/can do nothing.

Just needs sorting. I imagine he's been under a lot of stress as this has been dragged out.

The fact it's dragged on makes me think it's complicated. Most cases from October have been dealt with by now.

Probably a 3 point punishment or an extra game for a 'frivolous' appeal.

Jokes aside.... I've still not seen any club get an extra match ban for appealing. Just like a Coventry player got a retrospective ban for diving. I've not seen it before or since? 🤔

I mean by that law then Paterson gets a ban after Saturday. What's the difference?

Why has it dragged on for so long? I don’t get it why the EFL has the power to look into any players (email or social media) past like they’re on some sort of witch hunt.

It's the FA, not EFL, but I imagine they've had the tweet reported to them by somebody rather than deliberately seeking it out.

I think the FA should be taking action if players under their purview are sending homophobic messages online.

I think there should be leniency given Bola was a child, but they shouldn't be ignoring what he said just because of that.
