Body found in water at Saltburn

BBC - A person has been found dead in the sea off Saltburn.

I was thinking of going there myself today but the cool forecast for the coast put me off. Terrible tragedy.

They seem to be happening more so far this summer. Unless they’re just being reported more. Terrible for all concerned. We must treat the sea with respect.

We were there this afternoon and it was quite busy.

Saw some clothes washed up on the beach, I’m hoping it’s not related to this tragedy. Saw a police car but didn’t see a search going on.

As far as I know there hasn't been any deaths resulting from people swimming at Saltburn.

Generally speaking it's a notorious suicide spot, without wanting to infer anything in this case.
