Blue print / formation / team for next season.

One of the things I would like to see next season is a more settled formation and team. Obviously it will have to be tweaked from time to time but I think the team would benefit playing more games with the same players in the same positions.

I’ve not included the loan lads like Roberts / Morrison and Harold etc.

Also presuming Britt and Ayala leave, if they did stay they would be in the team for me.

Also I think we need to develop the young players who could turn out to be great players for us but could also go for a decent fee eventually I.e Pears Fry / Spence / Coulson (even Tav and Wing).

So my team would look something like this:

Pears
Howson/Shotton Fry Friend
Spence McNair Saville Coulson
Tav Wing
Fletcher

Experience at the back with Shotton / Howson / Friend.

I’d like to see if McNair and Saville could develop a partnership in the middle, see if there experience in the Man Utd / Chelsea academy can provide them with the ability to control a game,

Spence and Coulson providing the pace and width.

Wing and Tav providing the talent / creativity and goals from midfield.
 
Judging by Wings performances including tonight he should be bench at best. Yes he gets the odd goal but not doing enough.

But they play in a different formation and position from one week to the next. My point is I’d like to see Woody pick his best team formation and allow the lads to develop in that position and form partnerships with those around them. Obviously it would have to be tweaked when required.
 
We are just a poor side kidding our selves itl get better next season . We’re a manager short of finishing top 12 and a transfer window away from putting a side together that has potential of top 8 .
 
Really thought we would spend rest of the season honing the formation with wing backs and getting the team to gel ahead of next season. Now it’s different formations, different line ups. Go back to what worked and stick with it
