I would have to agree with this. The last few games we didn't seem to be producing anything and were chasing the game. One would have thought that early substitutions may have made a difference.
Maddo keeps saying that Roberts needs to work more defensively so maybe the issue is that there's a risk of conversing another goal if he's on to early? Also Roberts doesn't always seem to have a decent end product but I think he does cause problems / could gain free kicks etc?
 
Interesting threads on performances recently.
In the cold light of day the last two performances have been a bit cack (and there have been others)

After a good time (relatively) people are now being a bit/lot more questionIng of NW. Lots of players have been singled out and ‘we actually aren’t that good’ is dawning on some.

NW has basically said - we have some good kids and he‘d like to add to the squad but would be quite happy if he had the current squad to work with for the rest of the season.
He must be confident - too early in the season for me.

I take the OPs comments tho - you can only play the cheeky chappy card for so long.

Early jump? Dunno what you mean about that but given that I 'liked' the OP you can probably add me to the list. I wouldn't have appointed him in the first place, recognise he did a good job in saving us from relegation but would have left it there. I really don't 'get' the hero-worship. But I'm willing, as ever, to be proved wrong and I still want us to win every week.
