Blast from the past - Brilliant Boro August 1968

I think we had to lend Palace part of the kit that night, they played in a strange outfit.

Did they and Derby go up that season?

My first visit to the Chicken Run.
 
Johnny Crossans' goal that night is my only real memory his time at the Boro,I was sat on the fence at the back of the Holgate holding on to the steelwork of the roof and remember it as superlyb struck half volley that hardly left the ground from the left hand edge of the box into the right hand corner of the net.
Suppose it's an age thing but nowadays I struggle to remember most of the results from last season but can reminisce about events from tears ago as if it was yesterday.
