That was 7.5 months before I was born, although I do remember him playing for Boro and went to his testimonial but I can only vaguely remember it. How much would you estimate his value at in todays market? I have just done an inflation calculation and that 60k would be around 160k with just inflation taken into account was that a fair bit of money for a young English keeper back then?
I suppose now a 21yo English goalkeeper from Man U would be somewhere around the £5m-£8m Mark?

Just a shame injury stopped him from playing for England after he got called up. Injury picked up training on the beach with Boro if I remember correctly.

He was fantastic for Boro with some huge performances over a lengthy period of time.
