I don't agree with you Alvez, I really don't. I get that some people advocated for no lcokdown and some other way forward. I cannot agree. The times keep claiming that excess deaths not counted as covid deaths are covid deaths by extension wether its covid or not because of the effect of lockdown. It boils my ****, no we had options, we had different approaches it's the media in this country that led the government. No scientists , no strong leaders, the media whipping up us plebs.

According to the ONS, by far the leading cause of death in April was Covid-19. Of these, Covid-19 was the 'underlying' (i.e. main) cause of death in 95% of cases (before you start the died 'from' or 'of' argument again).
The second leading cause of death was Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, which experienced almost twice the 5-year average for deaths from these conditions. People with dementia often reside in care homes, where we know that there has been a Covid-19 epidemic.
Do you honestly think that twice as many people with dementia just happened to die last month, or is it more likely that they are Covid-19 deaths which have been under-reported? That's a rhetorical question by the way.
So you agree then?to claim that we just blame a virus rather than decisions taken is simply wrong
100%So you agree then?
The measure of "excess deaths" is probably the most accurate statistic we can use and sadly the most damning of the decisions taken and not taken by this pack of cowards.
That explains the tetchier than usual briefing yesterday.
