Blackburn

I think it's silly when fans and the media get carried away by the start teams make so early into the season. You can't really look at the table until after 10 games, which then gives you a clearer indiciation of how the table is going to look throughout the season.
Agree 👍

Nah, don’t bother paying much attention to the table until Christmas - that’s when the league really starts, that’s when the men get sorted from the boys folks. We seem to perform better in the second half of the season under MC as well so this bodes well given we are already well ahead of the same stage on last season. Remember we only missed the playoffs by 4 points last time, despite the worst start to a season in our history

I would say, we are looking at Blackburn's start through the Boro lens rather than Blackburn's lens..... In contrast to last season..... It is much better for them and with Eustace in charge ... The media are probably looking for the narrative of his start at Birmingham last season.....

.... In contrast our start has been average tbf.... Fine lines and all that...... As well as know too well in this league..... Two to three wins in a week can make a huge difference and put a completely different slant on things.....(Conversely two to three defeats can have the opposite effect..... Baggies watch out)

Blackburn fans at work are just happy they have had a good start with points on the board.....they fully expect them to drop off and fall to lower mid table obscurity.

They are more happy they're above Preston......

Tables starting to take shape, cream is rising to the top
Blackburn will fall , top six
Boro,Leeds, Burnley, WBA, Sheff Utd and Sunderland with Norwich and Watford as dark horses in what order is another question..
Agree or disagree with above

Other than the very extremes at the top and the bottom of the table, its mainly irrelevant until 25-30 games in with little separating the middle 10-15 teams.

In 2020 Hull were 8th after 26 games and ended up finishing bottom
Reading in 2012 were 8th after 27 games and finished as champions

Too early to say to be honest. Table is pretty meaningless till the end of October.

I also wouldn't write off Coventry.

I agree - I can't really see past Burnley, Leeds, Sheff Utd, Boro and WBA for top five... Unfortunately I see us in 4th/5th spot.

Definitely too early and all opinions - but Sunderland and Blackburn just don't compare. They might be fighting it out for 6th with a few other teams.

What if Coventry was an old car that had taken somewhat of a shunt on Cargo Fleet lane. Wasn't your fault, of course, and the other fella apologised and accepted responsibility.
It turns out that the price to put it straight was more than the car was worth.

You would HAVE to write them off, in that case.

They've won all their home games and none of their away games. I thought they might struggle to avoid relegation so they are exceeding expectations.

In the championship every team has good and bad runs. IF you have one at the beginning of the season it gives a false impression of your long-term position. Last season we had that with our dreadful start and Blackburn are doing it with their good start. They have a very small squad and I think they'll finish somewhere near the middle.

I'd add Norwich to that as well. They look decent and they've played some tough fixtures. They've got a bit of an easier run ahead.

For me, Norwich have been the same for years - They always seem like a top team but are always underwhelming.

Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent are obviously great players - but who else from their team would you put in ours? Maybe Callum Doyle... but I'm struggling for a 4th out of their 11.
