This is true. Most zoologists and naturalists that have studied wolves, say they are timid and fearful creatures around humans.

One of my favourite videos of wolves illustrating this is the one below. You can see how nervous the wolves are when close to humans. As the maker of this video says, their reputation as ferocious man-eaters is inaccurate and undeserved.

 
I prefer it when humans don’t interfere with nature. I am sure the family of Candice Berner would think re-introducing Wolves to the UK was not a great idea
 
I think there were plans to reintroduce the Eurasian Lynx to Kielder during 2020, I dont know whether it was approved and it will have certainly been delayed due to CV-19, but it would be great to have creature of this ilk raoming the countryside once more.

So they can go kill family pets and farm animals as well as wild animals, yeah great
