Bilsdale Transmitter Fire - Freeview & Various Radio Services Offline

Has anyone's freeview channels returned yet after a fire put the Bilsdale transmitter out of action?

I've been using my laptop to cast the channels to my TV in the meantime at the expense of bandwidth

Those calling for the BBC licence to be scrapped & the BBC made a subscription service only have got a taste of what it would look like.

Why - if analogue services are lost then all BBC programming goes off air which is what a lot of people seem to want. Subscribing to a digital service doesn't work if you don't have/can't afford/don't know how to use the necessary equipment.

EG now reporting that a temporary mast to restore services will take around two weeks to complete.
