Billy Joel Allentown

An unbelievable artist and performer. Would love to see him perform at MSG.

The Downeaster alexa is one of my favourite songs.

He puts on a very good show. Saw him at Manchester about eight years ago. I like Goodnight Saigon. He didnā€™t play it but Scenes From An Italian Restaurant was awesome.

Yes quite a song isnā€™t it.

definitely resonates with us for so many reasons.

Iā€™ve never seen the great man himself ( I came close to seeing him at msg but couldnā€™t get tickets).

but I saw this guy live a few years ago on holiday in the Caribbean an amazing tribute act to billy joel.

I once saw him play under the colloseum in Rome. Was blown away.

Really wasn't aware of how much music he had back then but his performance was exceptional. Gripped from start to finish.

Seen him 3 times over the years - including one of his monthly shows at MSG a couple of years ago. One of the best live acts Iā€™ve ever seen - his body of work is tremendous and often gets overlooked.
To anyone who is a fan and hasnā€™t seen him, I would strongly advise to get tickets next time heā€™s over!

Mrs erimus was saying she would like to gone go to see him a year or so ago New York, that would have been awesome

Iā€™m lucky enough to have seen him around USA and UK, the MSG night was something else but we were at ā€˜The Last Play at Sheaā€™ and that was something special. If you get the chance to see him you should (even at the age he is).

Whilst in New York 2002 went to see 'Movin Out' dance musical which uses his songs to tell a story (teenagers from Long Island, boys go to Vietnam etc.). At end of show BJ appeared on stage and played for about 45 mins, apparently first time since opening night (only a few month I think). Made the night for everybody.

Saw him at Earl's Court just after he split up with Christie Brinkley.

It was the River of Dreams tour but he came on and declared he was a bit melancholy so was going to wallow in the back-catalogue.

Funniest bit (not sure if it's a regular feature) was an audience request.

The grand-piano was on a kind of lift that took it under the stage and he did the first half-dozen songs on it before it disappeared.

He was chatting away whilst getting his guitar sorted and then asked what people wanted next.

"Piano Man", came the cry.

How we all laughed - including Billy.

One of the very best concerts I've seen.

I used to go to Vegas a few times a year in one of my old jobs, and in New York New York there was a bar with 2 piano's that used to do battle, with glasses on the top of them to put money in. They were really good, it was always a cracking night out.

Used to come out thinking it was about midnight, look at your watch and it was 4am. The pumped oxygen & no clocks didn't help.
