If you're looking for something to do after the Boro match the Northern League Division 2 play off final is being held at Bedford Terrace, Billingham.

£6 adults, £4 concessions (over 60), kids free.

Wish I was back I’d be down for that… daft question… but why are Billingham at home for a play off final? Is it a two legged thing?

No, like Stockton yesterday, the team finishing higher in the league gets home advantage. For me that should be the case in all play offs, it seems fairer.

Billingham and Birtley both played away in the semi final, both won on pennas.

Yeh it does seem like a fairer way to do it, team performs better over the season so you get an advantage for it….

☹ disappointing but what a crowd. At least Thornaby will have a proper local Derby again. Stokesley is too far for me without a car.
 
I thought Billingham played well, penalties are penalties and anyone can win once it goes there.

Healthy crowd on a damp day, great to see so many there.
 
1300 there with 4-500 Birtley there. All good natured apart from their late equaliser when the corner taker celebrates in front of the Billog fans and one of them accuses (he did like) of having “Turkey Teeth” and he jumps the hoarding into the crowd to confront said supporter 😂😂👍

He was decent to be honest, for a full blooded game he let it flow and it was a good game.

He sent a Birtley player to the sin bin for abusing the lino which was fair enough, it was while they were down to ten that they grabbed the late equaliser.

If it had been Boro playing and losing out there'd be the usual suspects on here blaming him for sin binning the player and giving them a lift 😂
