Which building is that TeaCider, I know the original station in Redcar was near where the clock is now but not sure of exactly where or which building is left over.I don't think the original Redcar station has been in use in my lifetime.
It's a big and nice looking building that's been stood derelict for years.
How they can have the article titled 'Thornaby Station Modernisation' is a joke. All they did was flatten everything and put a bus shelter on there. Slightly better now thanks to Trans Pennine.Thornaby station - lovely ironwork

I think one little inkling of positivity about this crisis ( bear with me here ) is that it’s given us all a chance to stand back and examine lots of things closer to home . I’ve certainly suddenly started going through all the small print on loads of issues such as insurance , energy Etc and have adjusted lots of things .It needs people to tell councils what they want - how they value the look, feel and heritage of the places they live. How the character of a place is important to them. Especially so when we have all been locked down and have to live close to home.
I'm a bit surprised to see a Birmingham RC & W unit up there. My local signal box North Ormesby Rd tucked under the bridge when a nipper 70sView attachment 13230NB note the two tracks Boro to Whitby

Identical and cheap to produce. There was no need, in 50 years we will have more bog standard houses stood there, do you think the kids will say 'whats that mam' .
No one will be happy until this country is identical in every way.
