Big Problems with Anti-Social Campers

People have been incarcerated in their own homes for three months and have finally been let out.
In no way do I condone littering and anti social behaviour but I don’t understand why people are surprised it’s happening this summer and pontificating about it. Blame the hideous lockdown.
Whatever you were drinking yesterday , I wouldn’t touch it again 😎

I've said for a long time this so called Great Nation of ours is going down the toilet.
Look at all the League tables we are bottom of them all, drugs, teenage pregnancies etc, etc.
Some of the behaviour is appalling and shameful.
I was reading about a lovely quaint town in Devon called Salcombe, lovely yachting type place, really nice, the posh yobs have descended and are trashing it, broken bottles, threatening shop keepers to the extent they are having to close and miss out on precious revenue.
It's hard to believe that the standards and culture have deteriorated so very badly.
I'm a shamed to be British when I hear and see how some of us behave and yes I do appreciate it's not everyone by any means.

Point being that your use of 'This country' may imply that 'other countries' are different - and my point is, they're not.

In fact we're not too bad at all, and compared to most we do 'look after the damn place'. You'd be aware of that if you've done some travelling.
Unless you travel to somewhere like Singapore. Then you'll realise just how bad we actually are.

Just look at Richmond during lockdown at the river . Blimey Richmond of all places , however I’d wager a canny few came from Teesside , Leeds etc .
There is barely an inkling of respect and orderliness in the last 2 generations . Imagine if this lot had to defend our nation and indeed Europe in 1939 .
We’d Of been annihilated

Salcombe is a lovely village, but also one of the most expensive places in the country to live, like Sandbanks in Poole. Properties are bought as second homes by Londoners, it has always had a reputation when the posh sailing types come to visit the standards of normal behaviour are pushed to the limit.
I live in Devon and we see that behaviour by the tourists has taken a step backwards this summer. There is something about post lockdown attitudes being different this year.

Interesting stuff that Smog . Doubtless this covid enigma ( and discord with Brexit ) in time will throw up findings of something akin to ‘ a f**k it ‘ generation emerging .

We see it in school, good kids just dropping rubbish and then affronted when asked to pick it up.

I deliver the DofE in school and obviously the countryside code is a big element. I have to drum into some of the students regarding littering, something that comes natural to the majority.

The groups complete a sponsored walk and finish at the bottom of Roseberry Topping. Whilst walking we collect litter and easy fill 6 bin bags. The majority of the litter is between the top of Roseberry and the car park. My favourite is the used dog bags hanging from trees like Christmas baubles - WHY? They have done the hard work by bagging it, now just take it with you.

So I thought reports of anti social behaviour To the police were on the up during and after lockdown ? Point being if you keep people under lock and key then a few daft idiots will do daft things once they are allowed out. Like turn up at a tranquil campsite and play music til 4am. Oh and the reason they can’t go to Ibiza to get ***ed and shagged is because of the lockdown/quarantine which was entirely my point....rant over.

Just got back from 3 days camping solo in Selby. 90% of people of all ages were absolutely fine and apply the 'beach rule': leave nothing behind but your footprints. There was one young family who I think had resorted to camping in lieu of somewhere hot and sunny abroad but with a George & Dragon for their carling and egg and chips.

They packed up their tent to leave which just involved stuffing it in the boot and just drove off leaving behind empty boxes of lager and several bottles strewn all over their pitch. I ended up picking up most of it as I was packed up early and wasn't in a hurry. I suggested to the site owner introducing a policy of a security deposit of £100, refundable on leaving once the pitch has been checked it's been cleaned up properly.

The dirty get even peed up against his own tent on several occasions even though there were facilities about 40m way. The 2 teenage girls did not stop shrieking and effing and blinding the whole 3 days they were there and were clearly allowed by the parents to drink. I would guess one about 13 and one about 15 years old. They were asked by 3 others families plus the site owner to behave more appropriately but that was ignored

Someone threw a half full cup of Costa Coffee out of their Range Rover window and all over my windscreen whilst I was sat at traffic lights in Billingham the other week. The mind boggles

They can't get to Ibiza because the Spanish had to close it when the German and English idiots turned up.
