Betting Hypocrisy

Love to know the reason they've let them off considering 2 players have currently been banned for the same thingScreenshot_20230917-205659_Facebook.jpg

I’ve read that there were only around 30 bets placed on football, for nominal amounts, and only 3 placed after all betting on football by footballers and managers had been completely banned by the FA. If that’s true then it’s very different to other cases.

But who knows, really, other than those directly involved.

How many bets are acceptable though? Is there a rule?

Obviously none are acceptable but it’s a very different situation if those claims are correct and you can see why someone may have been let off with a warning if it’s only three low value bets and if they were not placed on games the person was involved in.

A former football manager boasts how he subscribed to Racing Post and earns money from betting adverts.

Of course no one bets that works in football ;)

There nothing more hypocritical than the current betting ads on TV... Bet - its good for you/Don't bet - its bad for you. FFS!

Just ban the ads all together. I thought they were going to ban betting companies as shirt sponsors?

How do they actually find out about these bets in the first place? Do betting companies breach data protection laws by providing evidence?

I think they’re required to report certain activities by law as it potentially falls under match fixing or insider trading type rules.
