Bettinelli interest

Our defence has primarily been man for man marking so a conventional line Infront of another line totally changes the game such that that installation of confidence isn't so necessary as very little makes its way through. When it has, his ability to get to anything wife of him has been poor and, from the two goals in his first match he can be beaten by anything.

Long kicker though.
Have the defence stopped man-for-man marking in recent weeks then, bear? In your opinion, or from what you have seen. If they haven't then why has Bettinelli been more exposed and had more work to do? If they have then surely that's an issue for the manager and his staff, not Bettinelli.

I think playing a midfield of Saville howson and morsy had a lot to do with our defensive record.
The early part of the season we were also a different team to now. We were very karankaesque. We conceded very few chances on goal, but didn't look a threat going forward. Lots of 1 Nils and nil Nils.
We have opened up now, which has left Bettinelli more exposed.

I probably deserves this bump for bumping the other thread the other day and tagging @viv_andersons_nana so it’s not harsh. I can safely say though my opinion has changed on Bettinelli and I really don’t want him to stay now. Just hope he improves between now and end of the season and gives us a chance.

I presume the ‘interesting’ comment was made with me in mind.

They have. And suddenly the need for a half decent keeper is needed.

Surely this is an issue for Warnock then, not Bettinelli? The manager has made changes that have exposed his goalkeeper so why is Bettinelli getting bollocked for it instead of Warnock?

I totally agree in terms of results, but even with tighter games having a keeper with a poor saves to shots ratio is still an unnnessary state of affairs when a half decent keeper was allowed to be loaned out.

Tav was an important part of the man for man approach and probably the reason we changed. It's a shame that none of the players we brought in look to doing something similar.
