Betinelli. I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure.

Bettinelli wasn't the main problem tonight. The back line was poor. Similarly, Howson. The first goal came from poor defending not from a keeper error. Second goal largely down to Howson. Third goal, where were the 3 centre backs? If I remember correctly - in the oppositions half with Howson left to defend. Why not Dijksteel who is quicker and is a defender. We were far too lightweight in the middle of the park and could have been at least 2 down before they scored, Tactics wrong on the night and we looked as if we had never played in the wind before. Didn't seem to bother Bristol too much.

Dijksteel, an obvious Warnock favorite is way overrated as a CB. At the risk of being howled down I'd say his best games have been at RB. He was also getting roasted at home to Huddersfield but their inability to take several chances flattered us. But whilst Betinelli wasn't the sole problem I'm not having it that the killer third wasn't 100% down to his cowardice in choosing to run away.

Just who would you feel comfortable blaming for the third then? Favourite by some distance to reach the ball, sets off, stops, goes back and waves as it hits the net. He's a joke.
I posted this setting aside his performances. Every player, from the best to the worst is going to be judged on performances.

The point was about the commentary going way beyond that, into pretty unsavory territory.

I genuinely don't see how the keeper can be held responsible for any of the goals - I think he's an easy target, but Howson gave the ball away for one, the marking was appalling for the header and our defending from our own corner was naive beyond belief.
It may be true that he cannot be "solely" held responsible for the goals conceded, but it is plainly obvious that he should have done better than he did for 2 of the goals and I would not be surprised if Warnock plays his other keeper in the next league game.
