League is very open, think the 3 relegated sides will struggle and are already loosing their best players, Brentford will likely also loose a few as well. Any of 18 teams could realistically go up

I wonder how this table that is produced each season correlates with the final table? I know we have been favourites on a couple of occasions over the years including the Strachan season where we were closer to the bottom than the top. It's rare the three teams that come down all do well but the playoff losers often do well again the following year.

I think Watford will do well, one of the relegated teams always does, they look best placed

At this stage a lot of odds are built on reputations.

And nearly every season a club 'comes from nowhere' to challenge. Could be anyone but I have a sneaky feeling Luton might do well this season. (Thats them going down then!)

Same as always. 3 relegated clubs and play-off losers are the shortest odds, the rest are a crap-shoot although the clubs who've been in the PL more recently, or threatened persistently to go up, are a bit shorter (Forest, Derby, Preston etc).

Its not long ago lots of our fans wanted us to be like Bristol City and/or poach their manager. Things change quickly. They could easily go down next season, more likely to than us I'd say.

Skybet have us 13/2 for promotion - I am expecting us to be top half this season with at least another 10 points more than last season so the 13/2 looks decent.

Warnock would not have stayed unless he was allowed to replace the players who have left in the Summer - namely Ayala, Gestede, Shotton, Morrison, Clayton and the three loan players.

Bookies usually follow what happened on the previous season and expect similar to happen - they have us to finish around 11th. Last season we were were shorter than 13/2 for promotion. I saw enough in those last 8 games to suggest Warnock and his coaching staff will do significantly better than Woodgate and his, with the same quality of players.

How are sheff wed odds not longer? It would take a Herculean effort to win the title starting with a points deduction and they are nowt special to begin with.

Surprised stoke are such short odds

I’m not. They finished the season impressively and a big believer in clubs showing end of season form carrying into the next.

I noticed from the thread title that Bet 365 have downsized somewhat.
How are sheff wed odds not longer?

Agree. They should be about 200-1.

I know they beat us but Luton were shocking, think they will go down if anything next season
