I am with you on steel river. My mate used to live a couple of doors down from Chris. One afternoon during the summer holidays me and my mate went back to his after playing footie and his mum says "Chris has got himself in a band." My mate replies "Wonder how long that will last."

First saw Chris in the early seventies. He was opening for Lindisfarne at one of there Christmas concerts at the City Hall. Benny Santini had just been released
Last saw him at the Sage only a week before he collapsed on stage in Oxford I think.
Its very difficult to get any news about him and how his health is
