This has really saddened me. He was a remarkable man. I watched an excellent documentary/ interview with him earlier this year but can't remember what it was and can't find it now. Was going to share it because it was a great watch.

I did wonder if he might be the Poet Laureate one day - sadly it will not be but he was still a great man and a great poet

He lived just at the back of Aston Hall in Birmingham - presumably a Villa supporter

I had great difficulty writing this as I did it all in the present tense and had to edit it to take it into the past
