Ben Gibson and Sean Dyche

There was a piece on The Athletic a couple of weeks ago about Gibson training with Boro, and the implication was that Dyche didn't want to see him around the first team squad. Anyone know what's gone on?
 
I’ve heard that he’s on the naughty step, but that’s about all I know.

i would guess his proposed move in the summer is off now too
 
Based purely upon my own conjecture, Dyche probably thought that he's a similar character to what he thought of Bamford, and that's that when he runs a team.

Shame to see his career on hold. Not Beckenbauer, but a very consistent player.
 
Really surprised the Burnley money men are accepting this situation. Dyche is going to be on shaky ground next time he walks in to the boardroom and asks for 15m quid for a player.
This is Burnley and if/when they fall out the PL league money will be too tight to mention
 
I always looked upon Gibson as a really good character to have in the dressing room/training ground. Certainly behind the scenes videos used to paint him in an excellent light and he was very popular with all the staff. I don't see him as a Bamford personality at all.
 
I was told the following some time back: -

Dyche had got wind of Gibson being tapped up and receiving text from another club (Watford, Norwich interested at the time) and wasn’t happy about it. Gibson was dragged into the office and was read the riot act by Dyche with the latter threatening to go the PFA or whatever about it. Gibbo replied that he still had all of Dyche’s text when he was texting him when he was a Boro player. This resulted in Dyche going for Gibbo and the pair having to be split up. Dyche refused to have Gibbo around the team.

How much truth is in that, I don’t know.
