Ben Doak

Can definitely see why he's being compared to Salah.

He's raw. His final ball let him down at times and there was a moment during the 1st half where he was in the box and lost his footing.

He really has something about him though and will grow and develop this season.

Just refreshing to see a player, drop his shoulder and drive past the full back and get the ball in the box, that gives the opposite a headache because he is so quick, so I wouldn't be surprised if teams start doubling up on him, but that will gives us more space in the middle to play.

He also picks out players arriving on the edge of the box.

He's definitely 'raw'. That's a positive and not a negative. He's an 18 year old lad who just loves getting his head down and running at a fullback.

We should enjoy this. I'm sure he will get it coached out of him. It's not the modern way. He's an old school type of winger that you don't really see in the modern game.

He's raw enough to be still playing his natural game. The game he's grown up playing. I'm sure defensive duties and 'don't cross' when you can retain possession will come. A bit like Hamilton (who's clearly had more top flight coaching ).

Just hope we let him play his natural game. The rest can come when he's at Liverpool. Also don't be overly critical etc. He's 18 and had pretty limited game time despite the hype. Also recovering from an injury that's had him out for 6 months.

He will certainly excite. A breath of fresh air today 👌

I was impressed, yes he is very raw, but gifted. What surprised me when he slipped a couple of times how quickly he reacted to it and his desire to try to retain possession. Took his goal wonderfully well after great work and shot from McGree.

I was disappointed he was taken off, but get why, the crowd gave him tremendous applause as he walked off and rightly so. Him and McGree made a huge difference I thought and it allowed Hackney more space in the centre.

Well done Ben 👏

Agreed. He's very Terry Cochrane (ish).

Hopefully its not coached out of him here.

Jones needs to watch Doak and learn. What I don’t understand is that Jones used to do a lot of what Doak done today.

He’s got it in his locker. He’s just got to have more confidence and belief.

Not saying he’ll be as good as Doak as he looks like he’s going to be a special player, but Izzy has became too safe. He needs to unleash the shackles a bit more.

Doak was fantastic for 60 minutes. Their LB will have nightmares for weeks!
