Wife and I booked 4 night trip in May. Think we are pretty sorted for things to do (but any 'hidden gems' appreciated). Staying in the Cathedral Quarter.

Any advice re good pubs/restaurants appreciated, good with full range of price/cuisines but really like quality street food etc, like veggie/vegan as well.

Thanks in advance.

The Crown Liquor store has to be visited. We also booked a taxi tour of belfast on line and it picked us up at our hotel and so we had personal guide around sites .The first time we went to Belfast we went on the open top bus tour.

You are staying in a great area. Belfast has really developed and still is. Here are some tips

1. One pub you have to go to is the Crown Liquor saloon on Great Victoria Street. It’s an historic gem, fabulous atmosphere. If you time it just jump in one of the private booths. Their diner upstairs serves good wholesome food Irish stews, pies. As stated above it’s one of the pubs opposite the Europa Hotel. You will also be close to White Tavern in the Main Street. Entry either by the courtyard bar on the main st or the pub entrance down the left hand side street. Again always live music.

2. Good restaurants in the cathedral Quarter. We love these two

Coppi Italian in Edward t

Yugo in Wellington St - Fantastic Asian with Irish influence.

in terms of sight seeing

Do the bus trip to Giants Causeway. They are great value and you get to see the magnificent Northern coast. I could have done without all the Game of Thrones locations but they are thrown in

Titanic Museum - Get there for opening at 10 am and avoid the crowds. And if you are going at weekend Book in advance online. That would be essential

Spend time walking around the docks behind the museum. There is a guided walkway. A great coffee house is the Paper Cup near the museum itself. Also for lunch and it’s a decent day grab a sandwich at the Spar there and sit by the harbour side and watch the world go by.

political Walk. - if you are interested in the history of the troubles then this is a must. Trip Advisor has the best available.

Enjoy. It’s a great city.

Was there for the first time last year .
Lovely city and exceeded all my expectations.
I'm not a museum person but was blown away by the Titanic Experience.
