That was the craziest thing I've ever seen. We live in Redcar and we heard bees coming from a distance, and it got louder and louder and suddenly the whole house was literally covered. Never seen anything like it.

Last summer I was at one of the Cricket World Cup games at Chester le Street when all the batsmen and fielder started lying down on the field. After a brief WTF moment we heard the swarm coming towards us and we all ducked down behind the seats as the swarm passed over us.
I had to drive to work yesterday (first time since lockdown) and the windscreen was covered with splattered insects, loads of 'em. It seemed like a lot more than I have seen in years. Nature is doing what nature does.

They just went on their way after a few minutes. It was the noise that was the scary thing. I looked out the back window and every house around us were looking out their windows, that's how loud they were.
