BBC1 - I am not a rapist

Anyone see this last night? (it's on catch up)
The wicked and evil depths that a female (in these cases) would resort to. Absolutely heart breaking for the family from Southampton.
In the three cases on the programme, none of the girls that cried wolf were prosecuted for what they did.

It actually happened to a friend of mine.
She copped off with my mate, her boyfriend found out and she cried rape. His career, pension, life, absolutely everything over because of a girls lies.
Fortunately it ended up proved she was lying.

Makes your blood boil.

What I have learnt that there are some bad and selfish people about of either gender. They can have little or no empathy to the damage they cause, because there own desires are completely paramount.

Unfortuanely people doing this is very damaging. It puts doubt in the validity of the huge proportion of genuine cases that go unpunished.
Totally agree, being raped is horrific, not being believed or being too afraid to come forward is extremely damaging.
A small proportion of rape allegations are false, far more sexual assaults and rapes are either not reported or not prosecuted or worse, fail at court. Let’s not forget, the law with the balance of probabilities and burden of proof are stacked against the victim.

The people do this should always be prosecuted in my opinion. They ruin the lives of the people they've lied about, so why should they get off Scott free?
Why would they be allowed to ruin someone's life - who will be named - then stay anonymous and just move on?

Also it makes it harder for people who have been raped, who can have the validity of their claim questioned more

You look at Ched Evens if you want to see someone's life ruined. It's played out because he's famous but he will never get those years or football moves back.

That said he's bagging them in again👍

To the 'everyday' bloke it must be horrific if you know you didn't do it. It often comes down to your word against hers.

To have some copper knock on your door arresting you on suspicion of rape is every blokes nightmare. It will be reported in the local wrag and friends and family will never look at you the same. Even if found not guilty🙁

All those folk shagging everything that moves online really need to be carefull. It's like you almost need a drafted up consent form...... A mood killer😂

I can understand why women are not prosecuted. If they face prosecution if a man is found innocent it will just put them off reporting it. However, when there is overwhelming evidence a woman has lied they should be. That actress from The Archers for example, it is crazy she wasn't prosecuted.

I think this is part of the issue and where the lines are blurred, young lads doing stuff in abundance that *in their view* is all fine and dandy but not considering how someone else perceives it or how it makes them feel (or indeed whether they are able to truly show consent).

Of course there are also some out and out cases of false accusations and they can be as bad as rape itself.
