Agreed we need a fairer and more equal country across social stratas and regions.

My relatives like many others on this board were asked to go and die equally in the predominately politicians wars and quite a few of them did or came back maimed and scarred. In peace time they deserve to be treated as decent humans.

We need policies now and then action.

Only £400 off an energy bill that is rising by around £2000 is not right.

Sadly, I hate to say it, I think the suicide rate will go up. Terrible thing to say - I apologise- but the hopelessness some will feel will drive this.

A shocking indictment of life today and the uncaring government we have. I am hardly well off but hopefully will survive. For some though who through no fault of their own exist on benefits my heart goes out to each and every one of you.

Very true, but until the country rids itself of these idiots parading as conservatives, I wouldn't hold my breath...And the idiots who keep voting for them see sense...

Don't think there's any need to apologise. It's only logical that it will happen. The good news is that it is foreseeable so we can put measures in place to eradicate the risk.

Let's hope that government understand the scale of the problem long before it happens. This isn't like a lockdown situation where you have to balance the risk between people's mental health and others risk of catching a virus that might like them. This is a very simple one sided situation where there doesn't have to be losers to get winners. There is either help or there isn't.
 
Simply heartbreaking the way people are having to live their lives now.
Eat or heat. How would you explain those decisions to your kids.... and this is people in work.
It has to stop, more than ever it has to stop.

It’s disgusting, In an economy the size of ours the fact we have families and children starving and OAPs freezing it’s a disgrace. A vote for the Tory is a vote to starve the child.
