Bamford Celebration

Still think he is a snake.
He’s not a snake. He’s a professional footballer. Players are not emotionally invested in clubs in the same way that fans are. They might work hard for the club they’re employed by and say nice things about the club and the fans, and sometimes they may even mean it, but if they receive a better offer from another club, they’ll go and do exactly the same there. As high-earning professionals, it would be naïve to expect anything else.

One of the biggest mistakes this club has made in the last 25 years is selling bamford because we had spunked 15m on assombalonga and needed to play him.

We should have spent that 15m on a young James Maddison or similar player and played bamford, we’d have got promoted
I couldn't agree more.
The transfer dealings of 2017-18 and 2018-19 were catastrophic.

I have always liked Patrick Bamford and supported him but though it showed a lack of class to celebrate the goal he scored. He was once a fan favourite for us really classless

Fully expected him to celebrate, he was hardly up there with Southgate and Juninho. He's on the cusp of his second promotion with Leeds, I still gave him a good clap when his name got announced.

Who cares, honestly. He hasn't played for us for 6 years. Don't think it's like there's some big connection between the club and the fans and him.

Lacked class was the nicest thing you could say about him. Would hate to think any Boro fan would post a positive Bamford thread in the future.Clearly a guy who thinks very little of the club that made him. I remember being hammered on here for describing him as a snake for joining Norwich after they beat us in the play offs. Still think he is a snake.
Post positive about him every day of the week. Great player, very intelligent footballer who's movement and positional sense is first class.

Why would anyone boo Bamford? I just don't get it.

I'd also have him back tomorrow if Leeds went up. Not quite good enough for the prem but his wages would be an issue.
No one should ever need an excuse to boo an opposition player. And no one in the country needs an excuse to boo a Leeds player.

Great player at this level.
The amount of cheating he has demonstrated whilst at Leeds means he has dropped in my estimation.

Bamford is a class player.
We virtually gave him to Leeds.
I still rate him and he has an England cap now.

Against Andorra, and he was dreadful 😂

Not that it diminishes the fact he was performing well enough to be called up for England, I just think it's funny that he was terrible against one of the worst teams in the world.

I'm still annoyed we sold him, if we could turn back time, never appoint Monk, sell Gestede when the Leeds bid came in and our last 7 years could have been a much better experience.

He was a decent player for us, not a great by any stretch but could be good on his day.

Always seemed mercenary to say the least.. He went from crying in the car park to a Leeds superstar.
He`s in his twilight as a player now, he's not liked as much as he was to begin with at Leeds. Will they use him next season in the PL ? be interesting to see.

Bamford is only 30 and has a few years in him still.
Last night Boro knew all about him , but with Clarkey having one of his onfield snoozes a few yards away from Bammers ,he was always going to score.
When Leeds go up I’d have him back to partner Latte. No chance of course.

I wonder how Chelsea fans feel tonight?

Kai Havertz has just scored against them and celebrated as normal.

He scored the winning goal in the Champions League final for them.

Bamford scored some goals for us in the Championship.

Knowing Chelsea fans, they're probably overreacting too.

If Howson had scored a last minute equaliser would anyone have expected him not to celebrate? Because I'd fully expect him to celebrate like he'd scored a last minute winner.

I'd be p1ssed off if he never to be honest
