Really needed this today did the lads....super happy for the lads and Mr Warnock.
Really happy

Luton Wednesday though will not be easy. Super organised and seem resilient under the young coach who is turning them into a solid mid tale team at least.
It’s within us though to walk away 2 or 3 nil winners but we need to be focused, organised, resilient and TAKE our chances

Boro won 3-0 today but still missed a load of chances. 8-0 would have been possible with good strikers, 6-0 with even average strikers. For those who reckon Boro's strikers are not the issue, watch the match again. Akpom and Assombalonga never even look like they will score.
 
Has anyone every said the strikers are good enough? I think it’s clear to anyone who has watched football they aren’t clinical enough and don’t really suit how Warnock wants to play. But they are the only 2 fit ones we have at the moment and they will play games. Watmore is good in the second striker role and looks perfect for it. If they make room for Watmore to score they are helping the team. I can’t wait until Fletcher is back as he is a decent finisher and is a better footballer than both Akpom and Assombalonga but he’s not fit so let’s just see what we can get out of them for now.

True. Tav’s goal was fantastic. Akpom could / should of had a brace and his chances including first half header were probably easier than Watmore’s. Positive gotta be that we’re creating again, clean sheet and Warnock surely has a bit of clout to say to Gibson, get me a decent striker after a great team performance and comfortable win that somehow still managed to hi light the areas we’re really struggling with. Are we on red button Wednesday?
 
On Wednesday Preston beat us 3-0.
On Saturday Luton beat Preston 3-0.

So technically we should lose 6-0 to Luton (or is it 9-0?)

But this league is absolutely mad so anything could happen!

It was for Britt a few weeks ago and ive yet to see anything from Akpom to suggest he’d do any better than Britt.

Yes, its 9-0. You multiply the difference in scores together. (I thought everyone knew that).

However, you also divide by the number of weeks between the fixtures, to take account of changes in form. Unfortunately with only days between it's divided by 1, so it's 9-0 to Luton. :oops::oops:
