Anyone else watched this yet?

Found it disturbing.

Sometimes sat in total silence watching some of the episodes and still struggling to understand why about some of the things that go on.

Was on gogglebox last night....is it really a true story.....looked a little disturbing from what I saw

It is based on the main character's life. It is very disturbing , but fair play to Richard Gadd to turn his life around and get his story on stage and then through Netflix. He's clearly very talented.

Netflix has also confirmed that all the emails/ messages seen on the show were real.

Yeah the guy who plays Donny (the lead character) wrote and directed it as it is based on his own real life experience!

We binge watched it over 2 nights and really enjoyed it although there were some disturbing parts to it. It certainly took you through a whole range of emotions.. well worth the watch.

I expect nothing less from him. Why the clamour to hear her side of the story anyways? Would a male stalker be getting this 'chance' to give theirs?

It's all a bit strange.
I know she has mental health issues, but she's playing the victim here a little, at the end of the day she's still a stalker, and you're right, if she was a man, it wouldn't be the same kind of attention.

Got a couple of episodes to watch, one of them episodes just watched, WOW, me and the Mrs just sat in silence for about 5 minutes after wondering what the hell just went on!! Brutal is all I can say and can’t wait to finish it and then watch something easy like hollyoaks 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Something about this I really don't like, the interview and the real "Martha" coming out.

For me she came across as deluded. You would have to think that Netflix has done their due diligence and the 41,000 emails etc were looked at and were established to be from her. If that is the case her story falls apart.

I thought Morgan did a pretty good interview. He didn’t go for her like I thought he would. At the end I was expecting him to whip out the emails and prove her wrong but he let her get her side of the story across whilst allowing her to make a few statements about the emails etc.

Good viewing for fans of the Netflix show. It will be interesting to see if Netflix or the writer come out with anything over the next few days to prove their story is genuine.

Morgan is not going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg yet. He's had 4 million views today and must be making a fortune out of clicks on this one.

Constantly back tracking and tripping herself up in the interview. Cringed through the full thing.
Don't think she did herself any favours, especially if it comes out that Netflix / Gadd are in possession of the emails / voicemails etc which surely they are.

The likes of Piers Morgan / Daily Mail and other media outlets should be trying to protect her and not exploit her though. Just another example of the scummy UK media that will publicise anything for views / likes etc
