Ayling and Thomas

I would give Greenwood a go in midfield, Engel, Clarke and Dieng back. Greenwood, Engel and Clarke at least will fight and scrap.

Its 11 days since Howson and Hackney were injured and the only feedback we get is we need to assess them more - its hard to believe the medical people still don't know what is wrong with them. We are clearly missing them.

Hackney's done for the season from what I've been told.

The lad from Leicester has been a big disappointment, I don’t see anything in him at all considering the reputation he came with.

What reputation? He was sent back from Sheff Utd for not being good enough and not wanted or needed back at Leicester.

Both of them were embarrassingly awful yesterday and it takes some believing that Carrick and Woodgate sat there watching them get utterly rinsed for EIGHTY MINUTES without out reacting. Thomas reminds me of that abysmal Wright (from Villa?) years ago. When Ayling signed I asked a workmate what he was like. Answer: He was a hero but that was years ago. Now he can't run and looks knackered 10 minutes in. Last season I thought Tommy Smith was a weak link at times - now I'd be on my knees to welcome him back to the team.

Ayling was alright. He's clearly not the Ayling that played under Bielsa. Yet that's why he is with us and leaving Leeds in the summer.
This

Age has clearly caught up with ayling as he just can’t keep up like he once did but at his age that’s understandable he’s had a great career.

But Thomas is different he’s so slow I was shocked when I first saw him at how easy he was to get past and he is 22 this should be his lightning years but he just looks so slow for a modern full back.

Fair comment, I just remember one or two posts on here bigging him up, can’t remember the details but you are right his track record isn’t the best which is why he was available,

Disappointed so far with Ayling. Apparent why Leeds let him away.

And I know I'll do the "My mate's a so and so fan and he said he's shįt", whenever we sign anyone for a laugh, but my Leicester supporting acquaintance is quite right.
So...
"My mate's a Leicester fan and he said he's shįt"

I can understand why we signed Ayling, for his experience, but can’t understand the Thomas signing. In effect we are helping Leicester by giving him game time when we have Engel who is developing. I assume it was a bit of a panic when Bangura got injured, assume that’s a bad one?
