AXA UK CONFIRMED AS OCCUPIER OF NEW CENTRE SQUARE BUILDING

The AXA staff currently have problems with parking in and around Exchange Sq. I cannot imagine they will be best pleased with having to find parking in the town centre and finding the extra cost to pay for this.

Its about 7 minutes walk to the (large) bus station and the same to the train station. The new location I would say is well served by public transport.

Car parking season tickets in Middlesbrough Council car parks range from £360 to £594 per year or about £1.80 to £2.80 per day - must be one of the cheapest in the country for a 160k sized town/city.

I feel for Stockton losing these jobs and hope another service provider can step in.

The North East I feel has an advantage with running call centres. The people in general are honest and genuine and personable and come over well on the phone. Many also value their job because they are not as easy to get as many other areas of the country. Offices are cheaper to buy and rent. I know a lot of the jobs are not well paid and job satisfaction can be limited so these type of work is far from perfect, but its still a job. I have relative who left school at 16 worked for Barclaycard for over 20 years and rose to a well paid position, she now is a self employed customer services trainer earning a good living.

You seem certain they are free or low. I was wondering what gave you that certainty, other than your own attempt to, well not sure what you're trying to do, criticise a company for making a profit and investing in Middlesbrough it looks like
Investing in Middlesbrough at the demise of Stockton. That is nothing to cheer about for any of us.

I think it was mentioned above, but the end of the lease was coming up but I think Covid maybe accelerated the closure. Consolidated everyone into the existing Boro office which is really not fit for purpose.

If you go past the Stockton Office all signage has been removed.
