Awful slides on this govt briefing

What's the point in going on about the R number - we have no way of knowing that as we haven't tested everyone
 
Most of them don’t even fit my tv screen!

Others have rows too small to read, all very confusing
honestly haven't they got any excel and powerpoint gurus? I wouldn't dream of putting crap like that in front of clients let alone the whole coutnry
 
From the slides I saw.... it looked like London had a terrible time in March / April - the North East looked OK in comparison - we've had a 'bad time' this last month or so... but that looks like it's starting to level off - it's the rest of the country where the increases were happening
 
Why’s everything compared to hospital admissions in spring And summer

It's to convince the public that a 2nd lockdown is needed and necessary. "Look here, at last lockdown we had 5,000 on hospital - now we have 6,000 in hospital, so it figures we have to lockdown to get these numbers under control and don't overwhelm the NHS" etc etc
