Auto Electrician Help Needed

Hello all,
I am after a reputable Auto Electrician to come out and try and fix my wife's Ford Ka. It may be the battery as it was just clicking but now it is only bringing the ignition lights on and nothing when she attempts to start it. She had to leave it in Acklam today and walked home (no taxis for her with her fear of catching Covid). Does anybody have a number of a decent mobile Auto Electrician who would come out to take a look at it tomorrow please?

PS - I know nothing about cars and will be at work all day so cant even help if I knew what to do!

sounds like the battery...were in acklam..?
 
It should jump start fine to get it home / moving but chances are the battery or alternator has failed, any mechanic should be able to check it for you and change whichever is required. Or if you have a multimeter you could check it yourself from the battery when it’s running.
 
Thanks inoffthepost. I tried jumpstarting it tonight and wheras the starter motor was clicking, it wouldnt jump start and when she tries the ignition there is only the ignition light comes on with no started motor clicking. so literally, nothing when you turn the key.

stuck starter motor..? did you try rocking the car..?
 
No idea about that. Are you around tomorrow to try and give it a jump start mate? Happy to pay you for your time in cash or beer :)

Shout out to inoffthepost who came out to try and get the wife's car started in the downpour this morning. He tried jump starting and even towing the car. What a lovely gesture as he has to go to work this afternoon as well. We couldn't get it going but regardless, I have never met this guy and he put himself out for me from a request on this board. Superb fella, thankyou.

I have said it before and I will say it again, the goodwill and generosity of the people on this board is outstanding. Long may it continue and I only hope I can help out somebody or advise somebody who is after help in the future. All the Boro stick together x.
