What would you vote for?
Why would we not give a human the same love, care and consideration we show to a dog at the end of its life?
That's not why you have a dog euthanised. My dog is getting old and becoming a bit of a burden I'm going to have it put down.

Exactly but I'm sure I could convince a vet to do it.That's not why you have a dog euthanised.
I suspect that you have.Proper missed the point

Having gone through the distressing process myself, I'm fairly sure that isn't true.Exactly but I'm sure I could convince a vet to do it.
You never heard of coercion? It would be your dog convincing the vet to allow them to be put themselves down, not you asking the vet to do it.
The person wanting to end their life has to agree to it, is given plenty of time to change their minds and administers the dosage themselves.
You never heard of coercion?
I'm actually for a person being able to choose when they die but from what I've read I don't think this bill goes far enough with protecting the vulnerable and oddly not far enough in the range of people who would be eligible.
We’re all dieing from the moment we are born really. They've tried to ensure that there are safeguards in place to prevent it.
I'm not sure what further protections you'd want in place to prevent the possibility of coercion with the already terminally ill though, unless you were wanted people isolated from all contact with other people when making their decisions.
I'd understand the complaints more if it was a much broader category of people who'd be eligible, but it's people who are already dying.
Possibly?I suspect that you have.
