France announced today they've approved a new law to allow assisted dying at home. Obviously it will be a very vigorous process. So when are the UK going to catch up?

France announced today they've approved a new law to allow assisted dying at home. Obviously it will be a very vigorous process. So when are the UK going to catch up?

I know it's a political and ethical minefield but when one can put an animal out of it's misery, I've no idea why a human can't make that decision for itself.
