He wont want the club without the property asset. That would be stupid. Ask Mark Goldberg.Wants to buy the ground. After all it worth millions according to Mel Morris!
There was a point where Ashley was doing well for Newcastle imo as much as I can’t stand Dennis Wise the set up there seemed to be working and they looked like a top six team (unfortunately) as I remember it their fans started kicking off that they weren’t challenging for the title and kicked off with the cockney mafia stuff and the ‘bhoycott’ banner. After they turned on Ashley I don’t think they were the same after that.. almost like he sacked them off and was all about coining it in. That’s how it looked anyway, I’m sure geordie fans have a different view of it and feel like they were hard done to.Ashley did very well out of NUFC. Came out of it with a tidy profit and millions of free advertising.
He's a very shrewd businessman. He'll care as much about Derby as he did Newcastle.
Some folk on here need to have a think next time they're wanting Gibson out.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when their new owners get hold of inter Milan!!
He'll stabilise them and make them a viable business. Newcastle ran at a profit under his tenure, something that the barcodes choose to forget.
