Someone mentioned they were going to Arran and asked about things to do. I went a few years ago and it's fantastic.

I can recommend both the brewery tours, a visit to Brodick Castle and going to the Ormidale Hotel/Pub if they still do a music night. I stayed there and the landlord was great. Food is decent too.

Oh great, both good value. The Ormidale pub is in Brodick. Have fun. The Mogabout Safari tour was good. The guy who runs it know his stuff and takes you to some places off the beaten track.

I know a girl from Redcar who moved there to work at the Lochranza distillery. It’s her dream job and she’s really passionate about the products as well as life on the island. It’s inspirational to see someone loving the simple life the way she does.

We stayed in the Old Lagg Inn, in Lagg which was pretty good on the south west of the island. There is a lovely stroll through a forest there to a nice beach. Pretty island a microcosm of Scotland it is said.

If you get the weather, get yourself to Arran botanical drinks in brodick, beautiful sandy beach with picnic tables and unbelievable views
