Any ex-forces members on here, you can now apply for your Veterans ID card online at Gov.Uk. Anyone who is not I.T. Savvy, you can also request a paper application form.
Hi Lemmy, yeah, I think that is what sparked the debate a few years ago.Got mine just after I left
Tigers are not allowed ID cards, they have to wear a collar with an ID disk attachedTwo years in army cadets aged 14-16, I will apply for mine today.
I just use the old woggle from my days in the beavers. It opens all the doors i need it to.Two years in army cadets aged 14-16, I will apply for mine today.
Each to their own I suppose mate.Been having a few debates over this Vets ID card. I did 28 years but can someone explain to me the benefits of having one. I have a rail card and a Defence Discount Card and a member of the RBL for welfare if I require it. My Dr knows I'm a Vet, so what else!
If they stuck a rail card on it or concessions for travel then yes. Looking at the overall cost of the roll out, the money could have been spent elsewhere for vets on the streets. Each to their own I suppose mate.
