Are we so skint ?

That we cannot bring in a free agent ? NW appeared to say this on Tees tonight. I realise times are hard but FFS we may as well just hope we can enjoy mid champo football in the future.

I read that in the Gazette tonight. Did seem to suggest that we won't bring anyone in. The line was 'have to be better than what we have'. Hmm! What we have is two fit strikers at the club!!!

You could bring in a player on loan with the parent club paying the majority of the wages. So £70k a week Bolasie becomes £15k a week until the end of the season with no strings £480k

A free agent could be looking for a three year deal £15k a week becomes £2.25m and that's without a signing on fee, agents fee, cineworld tickets and whatever else the kid wants to join the club.

Cineworld tickets will be going cheap just now.....

Didn’t Gibson say the other day that 20 odd clubs may not get through the season without a bailout?

I suppose some will see it as an opportunity if the field is generally weakened.

Yes money is tight at the Boro. Let's look forward to when we can all get back in the ground and get behind the club. 😄👍

I am not 100% on these figures but I think I have read our playing wage bill is £18-20m. We get £8m from sky. We obviously have streaming revenue and sponsorshi, but I am not sure what that is. Given that we spent around £2.5m on Akpom and signing on fees for the others I dont see how we have any money at all to fit in with FFP.
