In the most recent report, using the 7 days up to 18th October, the very highest rates were classified as those authorities with rates greater than 335 per 100,000 population. None of the Teesside authorities were included in that classification.

Nick Watt on Newsnight reported last night that the Government were changing the way they are releasing and compiling the figures. He is saying that the Department of Health said they need to have the permission of the family of those who have died before they can add to the figures. Why do they need that they are not releasing names.

Reminds me of the Tory Government during Thatcher/Major years. They changed the way they calculated the unemployment figures 64 times and not once with the differing formulas did the unemployment figure go up.

At least this bloke is getting ready fort Christmas..

12,084 positive tests in Teesside and 36 new cases in North Yorkshire in South Tees hospital district.

298 new positive tests in North / South Tees hospital districts.

I see the The Gazette is reporting that there were 570 new cases on Teesside today. Obviously, this is completely different to your figures and those on the government's coronavirus data website (which tally with yours).

The Gazette states that the figures come from a new service that PHE is providing which give seven-day rolling infection rates for all local authorities. However, they didn't provide any link and I can't find this anywhere on the PHE website. I'll keep looking.
