Arcadia

The business is unviable, what’s he supposed to do?

They haven’t been able to trade for months this year and would of been losing millions on rent.

Most businesses wouldn’t do anything different.

He is a scumbag of the highest order. Should have been struck off after BHS went down.

rumour is the pension fund is a basket case and millions in debt... two guesses why.

mad for those saying the business isn’t viable... you’re right but COVID is just the tip of the iceberg... it’s been a mess for 20 years... just like Debenhams it hasn’t kept with the times.

You only have to look at him to see is an arrogant tosspot of the highest order

Why aren't these pension funds ring fenced from the companies. They are in other european countries. Usually a recognised pension fund like Prudential or the like.
The only job of the company should be to hand over the pension they have deducted from salaries every month and pay it in.

Its very simple to administer and after Maxwell should never have been allowed to happen again.

Yeah it does baffle me why a government would allow themselves to ultimately become liable in some way way if the public don’t finish up with an appropriate pension . How hard can it be 🤷‍♂️

How many High Street buildings are owned by pension fund companies?

It may not be just the Arcadia employees who find themselves out of pocket.

Looks as if the Debenhams take over talks are going to be called off, there's going to be some pretty big empty buildings in town centres across the country.

The centre of Middlesbrough is going to have a different look about it with Debenhams and the Arcadia properties boarded up.
