Applause silencing the booing of taking the knee

Yes, well done to all who drowned it out.

The only message that booing sends is that you support discrimination based on race.

If that is not your message, stop making your point so ineffectually. Find a way of making it that won't lump you in with the Nazis.

As for the anti-Marxists: they wouldn't know the difference between Karl and Groucho.

Yeah football couldn’t have really made it much clearer it’s an anti racism gesture and nothing more. Why would anyone boo that? Really no excuse for just being thick and ignorant
Sadly we have a small minority of racists in our fan base ( I think they have their own board so don’t bother us here luckily!).

They will claim not to be racist but let’s not butter it up for them.

im not racist but i think the message has been delivered and that is that .. time to move on like the boro players have decided and many F-1 drivers but each to their own. id never boo by the way
That’s your opinion and it’s fine but like you say you still respect their right to make that gesture if they want without booing like a child.

I don’t believe in God but I don’t stand outside of church on a Sunday booing the congregation.

I’ve heard some people give reasonable explanations why they’re not fans of taking the knee, fair enough, I was a bit neutral on the subject until I saw the booing at the Riverside. All those boorish idiots did was convince me it’s a worthwhile gesture, and the longer they boo the longer it’s likely going to be seen in stadiums.

Utterly counterproductive and as players have repeatedly said, nowt to do with Marxism - which we all know is the natural political home for millionaire footballers.

Depends what you mean by "time to move on" . If you mean the message is no longer effective and different, stronger action tackle racism is needed then yes, fair enough, absolutely. 👍

I think that was the gist of why the Boro players stopped.

Unfortunately the message is not being received by a significant minority of neanderthals that think someone's skin colour is a reason for abuse, abuse only a month ago was very prominent.

The only time to move on is when racism in a thing of the past.

There’s no rule against “disrespecting the knee”. If a bunch of aging football fans wants to boo and fulminate against a player-led anti-racist initiative, and convince themselves that by doing so they are keeping their country safe from Marxism, then they should be free to do so. And everyone else should be free to make up their own minds about what is really going on.

as Muttley says, we need the 'knee' so long as the Boo's keep going, its a small non violent gesture - but we all know that no gesture however small for Equality & Racism across the broader society will be acceptable to the racist ignoramus's.

we are many and they are few.

If people are booing, the message has not been delivered.

The message hasn’t been delivered clear enough as it’s still rife in our society
