Unless something has changed within Government - and for all we know behind the scenes it may have, he doesn't have the power to build a new hospital.

Lets be realistic, they could have smaller hospitals for certain health issues, with a larger one for the area dealing with the major problems.

Lied about the land deal. Lied that the NAO had given the Freeport a clean bill of health. Lied that C&M had put money in and had taken on liabilities. Lied about what was in the inquiry report. He just makes stuff up in the moment in the belief that nobody will challenge or verify what he says, like a Primark version of Johnson, or most other torys, come to that.
